About the School

Academy of the Holy Family is located in the state of Connecticut. It is an all girl catholic school and has been around for 135 years. Their mission statement is to help girls get an education and to help them get closer to God. The school is unique because they offer the girls an academic program that is broken into two categories.

One. Honors. Two is is Advanced Placement. The school teaches many Christian principles and basic Catholic teachings. Girls are encouraged to set personal goals that will help them later in their lives. The School is owned and operated by Sisters of Charity of Our Lady. A question that comes up a lot is whether or not the school trains young women to become nuns. The answer is no.

Academics are taken very seriously at Academy of the Holy Family. With hard work and the help of God, the girls will strive to increase their mental capacity. Some of the skills the young women will be learning include, memorizing, note taking, homework and bible study. Some of the classes offered at AHF include computer science, english, ESL, family studies, social studies, fine arts, and many different foreign languages.
