Lawrenceville School is located in Lawrenceville, NJ and is a coeducational boarding school for grades nine through post-graduate. Lawrenceville was founded in 1810 and was known at that time as Maidenhead Academy and ran under other names such as Lawrenceville Classical and Commercial High School. Since 1883 the school was called The Lawrenceville School and discovered its true and abiding identity. The campus is also known today as a National Historic Landmark. It was not until 1987 that girls were first attended Lawrenceville.

The mission of the Lawrenceville School is to inspire and educate promising young people from different backgrounds to be responsible leaders and to fine personal fulfillment in the world. Lawrenceville helps students to develop high standards of scholarship and character and to commit to personal, community and environmental responsibility.

Students at Lawrenceville may choose to drop one course for a term and use the time for independent study. This could involve research or creative work for a paper, exhibit, or performance of some kind. Outdoor Leadership offers the students the chance to develop personal leadership characteristics and skills. They learn their strengths and limitations in the leadership capacity and develop a more profound understanding of effective leadership. Lawrenceville Abroad provides the opportunity for students to travel, conduct research or learn a language in a variety of international settings. Also available is school year abroad, where students may live for a full year in a European or Chinese family, while earning US graduation credits. Located on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, students may choose to attend a semester-long program based in tropical marine science, English literature, history, anthropology, studio arts and mathematics.

The arts at Lawrenceville gives students the opportunity to study and practice, music, theatre and Dance, as well are the visual arts. There are many trips taken to museums, symphony, ballet, jazz concerts, opera, art galleries and theatrical productions. There is an abundance of opportunities with New York City and Philadelphia so close.

The Athletic Program at Lawrenceville is an integral part of the Lawrenceville experience. Through interscholastic, and intramural competition, lifetime sports and activities, the school seeks to build character and instill in each student habits of personal fitness. Whether in the classroom or playing field, Lawrenceville promotes citizenship and leadership, and teaches sportsmanship and fair play. Some of the sports that are available would include: crew, cross country, football, soccer, water polo, field hockey, tennis, volleyball, swimming, squash, track, Lacrosse, golf, baseball, and softball.
